Step 1: Concept Development

Before any image generation happens, the concept needs to be solid:

Genre research: What do the top-selling covers in this genre look like?
Competitive analysis: What visual patterns does the target reader expect?
Differentiation: How does this cover stand out while still signaling the correct genre?
Element selection: Character, scene, objects, mood, color palette

Step 2: Prompt Engineering

The prompt is everything. A professional cover prompt includes:
